CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
NOTE: On-line registration is now closed. - Thank you.
ELIGIBILITY
Each resident, in a Canadian training program, may submit only one (1) abstract.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
1) Maximum length: 200 words.
2) Each presentation must be a maximum of 10 minutes duration.
3) Do not make reference to author's name, program, city or hospital within the text.
4) French papers are accepted if an English translation of the abstract is also submitted. Final presentations may be in French or English.
5) Abstracts must be submitted as individual word processing files (Word or WordPerfect). Attach your file(s) to an e-mail with your full name entered in the subject line. Send this email to coraweb@canorth.org
6) Please include the following information in the message body of your e-mail:
a. Author, Co-Authors
b. Title
c. Presenter
d. Program, Current Training Year
e. Contact information for Program Director/Supervisor
f. 200 word abstract (as attachment)
Failure to comply with these guidelines will result in disqualification of your abstract.
The abstracts will be reviewed (blinded) by a panel of judges made up of both residents and faculty. A total of 20 papers will be chosen for podium presentation.
You will be notified through e-mail by July 2003 if your abstract is accepted or not for presentation. Podium presentation guidelines will be sent to each author at the time of acceptance.
PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded for:
1) Best Paper - J.A. Nutter Award
2) Best Clinical Paper - Alexandra Kirkley Memorial Award
3) Best Research Paper - COSA Award
The prize winners will be chosen by a panel of 3 faculty judicators and will be awarded at a special ceremony held during the Gala Banquet on September 6, 2003.
